Crocs

Two Steps Forward

The Challenge

Help Crocs make the most of huge global growth by establishing their presence throughout branded environments.

Our Response

A series of diverse, dynamic and interactive activations that gave this iconic brand fresh appeal and boosted engagement across Europe.

Long Story Short

Our relationship with footwear giants Crocs hasn’t just seen us create some of our most distinctive and memorable brand activations so far. It’s also helped them to build on their monumental growth over the past year, bringing them even further recognition and engagement across their core demographic.

Across stores and standalone events in London, Paris and Frankfurt, we helped Crocs develop a seamless campaign with Foot Locker. In Citadium Paris, we had customers queueing out of the doors for a chance to interact with the Crocs-branded grabber machine. At Berlin’s fashion week we caused a stir through captivating instagrammable moments and installations, and as part of an Awake NY collab we brought customers together in a memorable heartfelt activation. And finally, in Paris Galeries Lafayette, we teamed up with an iconic influencer to take customers on a journey into the mystic.

The Finer Details

When Crocs came to us, the going was seriously good — they'd just seen an 87% share increase, and wanted to seize on their success by continuing to build exposure and discover bigger, better ways to engage with customers across Europe.

And of course, they came to just the right people.

Foot Locker

First up was Foot Locker, who wanted to integrate the Crocs brand into stores across London, Paris and Frankfurt. In response to this, Crocs introduced their #heretochange campaign, which put local body-positive influencers in the spotlight through graphics, display areas and window designs personalised to each store. To take this concept to the next level, we blended the aesthetics of the campaign with Foot Locker’s own urban slant, combining raw materials such as scaffolding, beams and spray-paint in celebration of Crocs colourways, making the brand a seamless part of every store.

Citadium

From there, Crocs launched in Citadium – a three-floor premium department store in Paris, nicknamed ‘the palace of streetwear’. To appeal to this iconic building’s core shoppers – while launching their new Paris Jibbitz shoe charm – we worked with Crocs to create a playful interactive brand activation: a free-to-play grabber machine, surrounded by cushy seating areas and bright pops of colour across the store. This playful pop-up created such a buzz that the queues went all the way out the door.

ABOUTYOU

Represented by online German retailers ABOUTYOU at Berlin’s 2021 Fashion Week, Crocs wanted to create a space within the main hall area that both celebrated the brand and offered a distinctive instagrammable moment to fashion-lovers, influencers and attendees alike. And with striking LED frames, glass displays and an unmissable hashtag statue, we helped them make it happen.

Awake

The next Crocs collaboration was all about the importance of family. The Creative Director of streetwear label Awake was looking for a collaboration with Crocs that hinged on the concept ‘Home is Where the Heart is’, and so we created an on-brand photobooth where customers could capture fun moments together. Digital display screens, product plinth raisers and the distinctive neon purple and black heart-print design brought this distinctive collaboration together.

Galeries Lafayette

And finally, back in France, Crocs teamed up with Youtuber Natoo for an exclusive pop-up launch at Galeries Lafayette. Here, the brand’s activity took on a mystic theme, with pastel colourways and a collection of eight clairvoyance-inspired Jibbitz highlighting the hero product – the Crocs Classic Clog. In harmony with this concept, we designed and created an interactive fortune-telling machine where customers could engage with a digital crystal ball, as well as animated tarot cards and digital content of Natoo herself.

Five innovative creative briefs later, we’re still only at the beginning of our journey with Crocs. There’s plenty more to come from our collaboration with one of the world’s biggest footwear brands.
